How to Prepare Mai Tai Cocktail

White rum 50 ml

Amareto Dissarono 25 ml

Triple sec 25 ml

Lemon juice 25 ml

Pineapple juice 50 ml

Black rum 25 ml


Mix the white rum, amareto dissarono, triple sec lemon juice and the pineapple juice in shaker with crashed ice. The ingredients must be shaken perfectly. After adequate shaking of the ingredients, pour the cocktail into a hurricane glass. Top up with a shot of black rum. For a garnish we prefer a piece of fresh pineapple.

This recipe is the real deal, knowing that is one of the most popular cocktails in the world. Its history dates from the 1930s that comes to us from Martin Cate – owner of Smuggler’s Cove in San Francisco, who based it on the recipe found in Jeff Berry’s book Beachbum Berry’s Sippin’ Safari.
